Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide GH secretagogue that selectively agonises the ghrelin receptor (GHSR-1a). Described as the first genuinely selective GH secretagogue in peer-reviewed literature (Raun et al., 1998), it produces robust GH release with minimal cortisol, prolactin, or ACTH elevation — unlike earlier GHRPs such as GHRP-2 and GHRP-6.
- High GH-release selectivity — does not significantly raise cortisol, prolactin, or ACTH unlike GHRP-2 and GHRP-6.
- Pulsatile GH stimulation — mimics physiological ghrelin signal, producing discrete GH pulses.
- Muscle and lean mass research — elevated GH/IGF-1 promotes skeletal muscle protein synthesis and lipolysis.
- Synergistic with CJC-1295 — dual-pathway GH amplification via GHRH + ghrelin receptors.
